Hospitals in the metro area have seen an early and intense influx of RSV and the flu has now arrived, so we thought it best to gather outdoors. Instead of our traditional Winter Wonderland at Children’s Hospital, we will explore some Victorian holiday traditions at one of the most unique outdoor venues in Colorado.

Get your discounted tickets to Face-To-Face @ December Delights to enjoy caroling, crafts, a holiday marketplace, and a scavenger hunt at Four Mile.

We’ll have a private heated tent for kids with clefts and their families to connect, plus you can enjoy holiday crafts and hot chocolate/cider, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, caroling and more. Seasonal snacks, food trucks, and beverages will be on-site and 2023 F2F Smiles of Colorado Calendars available for purchase!
So bundle up and gather the whole family and RSVP NOW!

Do you know what to expect when it comes to braces and other orthodontic treatments for your child? Our clefties usually have missing or extra teeth and their own unique growth issues that influence the treatment plan. They also start much earlier than you think! Join us to discuss all of these nuances with local orthodontist and cleft expert, Dr. Keith Kohrs.

About Dr. Kohrs
Dr. Kohrs has a special interest in treating children with cleft lip and palate, as well as other craniofacial issues. Since 2002, he has been a member of the Kaiser Permanente craniofacial team, which provides a full range of health services to children with craniofacial differences, including cleft lip and palate. He has also enjoyed serving on the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children’s craniofacial team. Dr. Kohrs and his team take an active role in the communities, sponsoring youth sports, school activities, and charitable organizations, as well as taking part in town festivals and other community events.

Don’t miss this chance to connect with other parents and get advice and guidance from an expert.

From the moment we learn of our child’s cleft lip and/or palate, our parenting role takes on another dimension. Advocating for our child and family involves our hearts, minds, and voices. Together, we will explore advocacy activities that can be relevant, helpful, and affirming by looking at research and sharing our lived experiences.

Barbara Gueldner, PhD, NCSP, IMH®-Infant Mental Health Specialist, works as a psychologist and is mom to her son, born with a bilateral complete cleft lip and palate. Professionally, she currently works on research and programs that give children healthy social and emotional skills and in the context of responsive relationships. As a mom, Barbara cherishes her son’s persistence, bravery, kindness, and of course, his awesome smile. She recently joined the Face to Face Colorado board and is delighted to serve her community.
