Cleft Coffee Talks

The Cleft Coffee Talks are an opportunity for adults caring for children with clefts to get the information and resources they need to make informed decisions about their child’s care. Local experts facilitate discussions on different topics and answer questions. Visit our Events page to find out about the next Cleft Coffee Talk.

Internship and Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to help organize and implement our programs.  In addition to helping Face-to-Face, this is also an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas and be a leader in the cleft community. We can customize the experience to best fit a volunteer’s interests and skills.

Youth Art and Writing Workshops
In the spring of 2012, we offered an art and writing workshop series for youth ages 7-15 with clefts, their siblings and their friends. Adult family members were also invited to attend a meet and greet over afternoon snacks at the workshops.  The monthly series spanned over the course of a semester.  The youth art is currently on display in a traveling exhibit around Colorado Springs. The workshop sought to empower youth to tell their stories to the each other and the broader community, and to educate the broader community on the array of experiences of youth with clefts.
